Hi Sharon - I am so glad to have found your website. My local paper no longer carries your column, but I always enjoyed it so much. I felt like I'd lost a friend when it stopped appearing. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

At last, someone who understands my love for the peach. I read your column this morning in The Republic (Columbus, IN) and couldn't help but smile as you told about helping can peaches as a child. We used to make a pilgrimage to Kentucky to buy peaches for canning every summer. It certainly was a treat to eat those delicious fuzzy peaches while mom and grandma canned. As an adult, all I ask for my birthday gift from my mom is a Peach Pie. Thanks for writing about my favorite food. Cam

Your column in todays paper "Sometimes you have to let go" reminded me of a promise I made to my mother. She died 3 years ago from cancer and worried how my brother would handle her death since he lived alone. We have had recent disagreements and have not kept in touch like we used too. This article reminded me of that promise and that life is short. Thank you so much!

I have read your column for years and more times than not have been moved to tears. You speak my language so well. Life does indeed go on by the grace of God, as you say in your most recent column. I hope that you continue to bless us with the gift of your writing.

Hey Sharon. About your brother getting married after only a month...I did it too after only 6 weeks but I've been very very happy. My family wasn't so sure that it was the right thing either. Just realize that once you've been through marriage you know what to and not to expect. I'm sure your brother KNOWS. Nobody can be perfect but after our experiences our senses are keener. Remember??I can't say for sure if mine will work out but if we last ANOTHER 22 years I'll figure we can!! Best Wishes to your brother and by the way... I love your column!! It's the only good thing about Mondays!! Come back to Anderson, SC soon.
